1. A party for mom
It is said that every day is Mother’s Day and that is a reality; however, we don’t celebrate Mother’s Day every day; therefore, I encourage you to throw a party to celebrate Mother’s Day. You don’t have to have a big party if you don’t want to, but if you have brothers and sisters, they can throw a simple party. The important thing is not quantity, but quality. Give mom a special moment with a celebration on her day.
2. A Special Decoration
For large or small parties, decorations are a must. You can decorate with balloons in traditional red and white or pastel colors; it is also a good idea to decorate with flowers, you can choose your mom’s favorites and decorate with a centerpiece made of flowers. 3. Remember Mom’s comfort
The main star when celebrating Mother’s Day is Mom! 4. Mom’s Favorite Food
You’re probably thinking about what food to make or buy to celebrate Mother’s Day. My advice: Ask Mom! It’s the simplest thing to do, ask what you would like to eat and if possible, from what place. Mom probably has a favorite meal and a favorite restaurant; if you’re having the celebration at home, you can order ahead of time; or if you decide to take her to her restaurant, you should still make reservations ahead of time. It is very important that you book in advance, as almost all the restaurants are very busy and full on that day, so if you buy or book at the last minute you may have to wait for a long time.
5. Cake or mom’s favorite dessert on her day
What is a celebration without cake? Or instead, mom’s favorite dessert! It can be cupcakes, pies or whatever mom’s favorite dessert is. As with the previous point, it’s important that you can order and reserve your Mother’s Day dessert or cake in advance; bakeries are very busy with many orders for Mother’s Day and you may be left without your favorite dessert if you don’t do it. Another option is that you can make mom’s favorite cake or dessert yourself; if you decide on this alternative, you should prepare everything in advance and if possible make a rehearsal dessert to avoid surprises on the day itself.
6. Gifts for mom
Clothes, shoes, handbags, flowers, appliances, cell phones, computers, perfumes, creams and the list goes on and on. There are so many things you can give mom, that sometimes it’s hard to decide.
